Our approach

Our priority is delivering first class care and support, which form the foundation of everything we do.  We are absolutely committed to providing people we support and their loved ones support that is person centered and based around their personal wishes, outcomes and needs.

We ensure the highest quality care and support through our quality assurance processes and continued learning and development of colleagues across the company.

Our quality assurance processes promote safety, compliance with regulatory standards and best practice for the people we support.  This in turn ensures people are supported to live their lives how they choose to with the focus on personalization and outcomes.

The people we support are central to how we develop approaches and play a central role in our quality assurance processes.  Some of our unique approaches include:

Service Expert Auditors

A group of supported people employed to carry out regular quality audits of services.  This provides a unique opportunity to receive feedback about the quality in our services from people with a lived experience

Voice4All forum

A forum run by and for supported people.  This is an opportunity for supported people to impact our policies and approaches which promotes co-production that has a real impact.

Health and Safety Committee

A committee who meet regularly with representatives from supported people and colleagues across all parts of the company.

Environment Champion Committee

Our environment champion committee with representatives from supported people and colleagues identifying real ways we can improve our sustainability.

Learning and development

We recognize that learning and development for colleagues is essential to maintaining high standards of care and support.  As such we have career development programs to encourage growth alongside high quality training opportunities.

An essential part of this has been the development of courses written alongside supported people and delivered by them to colleagues.

Importantly we provide learning and development opportunities for people we support.  This includes several courses aimed directly at empowering supported people with information to make informed decisions.

Why trust us?

Our history

We were founded in 1988 with the aim of providing high quality accommodation, care, assistance and support for people in the South East of England.  We started our journey with a residential care home for the elderly, however in 2004 we extended our range of services when we opened Myrtle Cottage in Emsworth.  This was our first home for adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Behaviour.  Since then we have developed our residential services to now support over 150 people in residential services, supported living settings and nursing care.

We are a family business and are proud to view all of the people we support, their loved ones and colleagues as part of the “Dolphin Family”.  We have had the benefit of working alongside a number of Local Authorities and have built an excellent reputation for providing individualised person centered support for the incredible people we support.

Our future

We remain dedicated to providing the best quality care and support for each of the people we support.

We will continue to expand our service provision which will include supporting more people in Supported Living settings and residential care homes.  This provides a firm basis for confidence in our ability to continue to develop and grow our expertise in supporting people and their loved ones to live the lives they deserve.
