Myrtle Cottage opened in February 2004 and was our first residential care home for people with learning difficulties and complex behaviour. We support six people with between the ages of 18 and 65 years.
The house has been designed with the needs of the people we support in mind, all bedrooms are single occupancy and personalized to the individuals taste and preferences. There is a large garden which provides space for people to explore. There are good public transport links and local shops and services within walking distance.
People at Myrtle Cottage are supported by a highly skilled group of staff who are trained to proactively support people with complex behaviours. All of the individuals living at Myrtle are encouraged to be valued members of the local community and supported to achieve their identified outcomes in a personalised approach.
