Park View opened in November 2013 and provides specialist support to 10 people with learning and physical disabilities between the ages of 18 and 65 years.
Park View is located in Alverstoke overlooking a pretty communal park, it is a short walk from the seafront and picturesque village center. It is an attractive period house that is laid out over three floors, all accessible via a lift. People using wheelchairs and who have other mobility needs are catered for with adaptations made to the building to accommodate their requirements. All bedrooms are single occupancy with ensuite facilities. The top floor consists of a flatlet and two bedrooms which have access to their own lounge and kitchenette to promote independence and opportunities to learn new skills. All people living at Park View are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms to reflect their own taste.
People are supported by a dedicated and highly skilled staff team. Staff are trained to support people with their unique and often complex health needs and are able to provide high quality care. An emphasis is on meaningful local presence and involvement for supported people, along with the person centered, outcomes based approach embedded in to practice.
